Global Chapters

The very first Hackers/Founders meetup was held in 2008 and consisted of five dudes hanging out in a bar talking about startups. Since then, H/F chapters have sprung up in cities all over the world.

This page contains links to all known Hackers/Founders chapters, as well as those of our partners.

Starting a Hackers/Founders Chapter

H/F may be headquartered in Silicon Valley, but our chapters span the globe. If you’d like to plug into our dynamic network of organizers, please let us know. We’re always looking for a way to connect with entrepreneurs no matter the location.

Hackers/Founders provides a piece of Silicon Valley as well as support to organizers where they live, especially for those who labor to start a new group from the ground up.

  • Fill out our Start a chapter form
  • You will receive an info packet to help you succeed and avoid some of the mistakes we made
  • You’ll also get a link on this website, on this page!
    • Each group will receive its own web page as soon as possible
  • Also, you will get an invite to the private H/F Global Organizer Slack channel so you can communicate with the H/F team as well as with all the organizers from around the globe
  • Finally, you get invitations to regional and global conferences

Hackers/Founders was started by founders for founders and we take our culture very seriously. We tend to be geeky and supportive, and we really like to learn and freely share ideas. In fact, H/F is open source, so we’ve had to adopt some guidelines for behavior. The following are the Four Rules of Hackers/Founders

  1. Don’t be a jerk
  2. Do the right thing for your community
  3. If you use the H/F brand, please don’t mess it up
  4. Tell us what your community needs.

Over the years, H/F has assembled a huge database of people in technology, business development, immigration, and government both at home and abroad. We welcome inquiries from our chapter organizers – there’s nothing better than solving a problem for one of our own.
